Trainer Spotlight: Hunter Draper

Hi, I’m Hunter Draper, pitching coach at High Quality Sports Performance in Benton, Arkansas. I’m a former collegiate pitcher with experience at both Delgado Community College in New Orleans and Arkansas State University, where I learned firsthand what it takes to compete at the highest levels of college baseball.

At Delgado, I earned a reputation as a dominant and reliable arm, finishing my three-year starting career with a 14–2 record. After transferring to Arkansas State, I stepped into the coveted Friday night starter role and eventually became a key middle reliever, leading the team in appearances during my final season. My performance earned me multiple honors earlier in my career, including First Team All-State recognition during both my junior and senior years of high school, along with the Pitcher of the Year award for the state.

Beyond athletics, academics were always a priority. I graduated cum laude from Arkansas State University and was named to the Academic Team — a mindset of discipline and attention to detail that I bring into every lesson I teach.

Today, I use my collegiate experience and technical training to help youth pitchers and baseball players across Benton, Bryant, Bauxite, Haskell, Alexander, Shannon Hills, and the greater Saline County area develop into complete athletes. My coaching focuses on mechanics, mental toughness, discipline, confidence, and intelligent pitch design. I believe great pitchers aren’t just built physically — they’re developed mentally and emotionally, too.

Whether your athlete is learning to pitch for the first time or preparing for high-level school or travel competition, my goal is to equip them with the tools to compete confidently, stay healthy, and reach their full potential here at High Quality Sports Performance.
